Amy Veivia, PharmD, President

Amy J. Veivia, President and co-owner of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Consulting Inc., is a clinical pharmacist who received her BS in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Albany College of Pharmacy, she has spent the last 13 years diligently working to promote safe and effective medication management processes.

Prior to Pharmacy and Therapeutics Consulting, Amy worked as Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Consultant for various healthcare organizations and systems, and most recently as Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services for the consulting division of a highly successful corporation. In that time she developed a wealth of knowledge and experience in numerous therapeutic fields, became intimately familiar with accreditation processes, and lectured to diverse audiences at the local, state, and national levels.

Amy continues to share her knowledge and experience working with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Consulting's ever-growing customer base and by serving as adjunct faculty for University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy.

Amy is affiliated with various professional organizations, including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Connecticut Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists.

David Aresco, RPh FASCP, Vice President

David S. Aresco, Vice President, Co-owner of Pharmacy & Therapeutics Consulting, Inc., is an administrative pharmacist and educator who received his Pharmacy degree from The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Boston. David has completed the ASHP Management Executive Seminar, an ASHP Leadership Conference and is a Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.

He has held director level positions in hospital pharmacy and consulting firms, an adjunct faculty appointment at Southern Connecticut State University as well as the position of Corporate Medication Safety Officer in a multi-million dollar corporation.

He has over 22 years of medication system management and teaching experience ranging from outpatient pharmacy to small and large acute care hospital pharmacies to governmental healthcare systems to teaching in a university setting.

In addition Mr. Aresco is part owner and serves on the Board of Directors of CDS Health Tech, Inc. (CDS). This Florida based company is a leader in providing electronic prescribing and other programs via the Internet as an application service provider (ASP). David has been successful in working with the leadership of CDS to integrate these programs into the services provided by Pharmacy & Therapeutics Consulting.

David has also served as a Committee Chair and on the Board of Directors for CSHP and is an active member of ASHP and ASCP.
